Who I am

This privacy policy applies to the websites operated under Poppy's Pod, including embodied-unbecoming.com and poppyspod.com, owned and operated by Poppy's Pod ("I," "me," "my"). I am a certified integrative women's health coach based in Minnesota.

What information I collect

Information you give me directly

When you opt in to receive a free resource, join my email list, or contact me, I collect: — Your email address — Your first name, if you choose to provide it

I do not collect payment information directly. Any purchases made through third-party platforms (Patreon, Stan Store) are governed by those platforms' own privacy policies.

Information collected automatically

When you visit my websites, standard information is collected automatically by my website platform (Squarespace) and analytics tools, including: — Your IP address — Browser type and version — Pages you visit and time spent on them — The website or link that referred you here — Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

This information is collected in aggregate and is used to understand how people find and use the site. It is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

My websites use cookies — small text files stored on your device — to support basic website functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not function correctly if you do.

How I use your information

I use the information I collect to:

I do not sell your personal information. I do not rent your personal information. I do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Email communications

When you opt in to The Foundation or any free resource on this site, you are added to my email list managed through Kit (ConvertKit). You will receive:

— Immediate access to the resource you requested — My monthly newsletter, sent once per month

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Once you unsubscribe, you will not receive further emails from me. Your data will be retained in Kit unless you request deletion (see Your Rights section below).

I do not send daily emails. I do not run automated email sequences designed to manufacture urgency or pressure you into purchasing. You will hear from me when I have something genuinely useful to share.

Affiliate links

Some pages on my websites contain affiliate links — links to products or services for which I may receive a small commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. I only link to products I have personally used or verified as appropriate for women with chronic illness.

Clicking an affiliate link does not share your personal information with me. Any data collected through those links is governed by the third-party retailer's privacy policy.

An affiliate disclosure is included on all pages containing affiliate links.

Children's privacy

My websites and services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through my website, please contact me at hello@embodied-unbecoming.com and I will delete it promptly.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to access — You can request a copy of the personal information I hold about you.

Right to correction — You can request that I correct inaccurate information.

Right to deletion — You can request that I delete your personal information from my records. To request deletion from my email list and associated records, email me poppyspod25@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Data."

Right to unsubscribe — You can unsubscribe from my email list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

California residents (CCPA) — If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. I do not sell personal information.

European residents (GDPR) — If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your personal data. The legal basis for processing your data is your consent, given when you opted into my email list. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting me directly.

Data security

I take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. My website is hosted on Squarespace, which maintains industry-standard security practices. My email list is managed through Kit, which is SOC 2 compliant.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. I cannot guarantee absolute security of your data and encourage you to use caution when sharing personal information online.

Data retention

I retain your email address and associated information for as long as you remain subscribed to my list. If you unsubscribe, your email address is retained in Kit in an unsubscribed state unless you request full deletion. To request full deletion, email hello@embodied-unbecoming.com.

Website analytics data is retained according to the data retention settings of the analytics platform used.

Changes to this policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. When I do, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the website. Your continued use of my websites after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
