My biggest marketing icks right now:
Shame disguised as "relatable pain point content." You know the shit I'm talking about. "You're failing because you don't wake up at 5am." Like... fuck off. That's not a pain point. That's just bullying with a Canva template.
Fake scarcity. "Only 3 spots left!" for the fourth time this week. Babe. We can all see the screen. Just stop.
Fake stories that are clearly ads but they won't just say that. Like the "I was struggling and then I found this one weird trick" and then you scroll and oh wow it's an ad for an app. Just tell me it's an ad from the beginning. I'll actually respect you more.
